Downtown Phnom Penh · Since a renovated 1920s colonial villa

French wine, honest bistro cooking, and a house full of stories.

Le Bouchon Wine Bar pours wines imported directly from France alongside tapas, barbecue and classic bistro dishes, on a leafy terrace and a lively upstairs bar.

Our Concept

Set inside a carefully restored 1920s colonial house in the Daun Penh district, Le Bouchon Wine Bar brings a slice of France to the center of Phnom Penh. The house holds two distinct moods: a shaded garden terrace built around old tiled tables and a mango tree, and an airy upstairs room wrapped around a central U-shaped bar.

The wine list is built entirely from small, hand-picked French producers, brought in directly rather than sourced locally, and served alongside a bistro menu of tapas, grilled barbecue and French classics such as coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon and foie gras. Live music fills the house several nights a week, making it as much a meeting spot as a dinner destination.

Founded by French owner Cédric Gertgen, according to local press coverage of the venue's 2017 relocation to its current address. This detail is based on older reporting and is not independently reconfirmed for the present day.
